A quick update from my lunch break to pass this hilarious video onto you, the people. If the beginning bores you a little bit, skip ahead to about the 40-second mark and just watch in wonder.
Not sure which is the best part – the contemplation that the robot goes through before tragically deciding to attack the stairs, or the barricade used to hide the evidence after it all goes horribly, horribly wrong.
Also in today’s edition of “what McNutt found on his lunch break,” check out this news story from CBC’s The National from October 8, 1993. Here’s some excerpts in text form:
“There’s a revolution going on…they’re sharing scientific data, arguing philsophy, passing on cooking tips and gossip night and day through a computer network known as ‘Internet.’”
“Bill Cameron has this report on the growing phenomenon of ‘Internet’”
“For years, they’ve been saying these things (computers) would change the world…now maybe it’s coming true, because of Internet.”
Most startling finding of the video, besides the fact that at one time “Internet” didn’t have “the” in front of it? Peter Mansbridge had a bit of hair on his head. True story.
